The Soulland x Nike SB Blazer Mid FRI.Day is unlike anything else out there. First spotted at Copenhagen Fashion Week earlier this year, the Danish retailer’s third Swoosh collaboration has got to be their best one yet. Not only does it take on one of 2019’s most popular sneakers, it also gives it a ton of design changes that makes it stand out amongst the crowd.An homage to Japan’s influential skate culture, the FRI.Day is decked out in a snakeskin material across its entire upper. This has been given a glossy finish for a reptilian aesthetic that oozes with luxury. Gone is the usual Swoosh branding in favour of a tiny one along the laterals and a much larger chenille one that wraps around the medial side panel and heel.Asymmetrically styled “FRI” and “day” is then embossed around the back, emphasising the name of the collaboration, and red co-branded detailing is finely debossed onto a pair of leather tags on the tongue, finalising the design.If you want the Soulland x Nike SB Blazer Mid FRI.Day in your personal collection then November 22nd is the date to pencil into your calendar.
